Mothers' Union Prayer

Loving Lord

We thank you for your love so freely given to us all.
We pray for families around the world.
Bless the work of the Mothers' Union as we seek to share your love through the encouragement, strengthening and support of marriage and family life.
Empowered by your Spirit, may we be united in prayer and worship, and in love and service reach out as your hands across the world.

In Jesus' name.
Amen

The Mothers' Union

The movement was started in 1876 by Mary Sumner to support mothers as they brought up their children as Christians.

Supporting families around the world

The Mothers' Union is an international Christian membership movement supporting families and communities in need of support in the UK and worldwide since 1876. MU members are active in 84 countries and work tirelessly to serve their communities whilst offering Christian care for families, regardless of faith or background.
In 2018, the MU collectively supported almost one million people giving them the skills and knowledge to transform their lives. In addition, centrally raised funds from members and donors have enabled support for projects benefitting an additional 100,000 people annually.

2 New Members

On Sunday 24th November 2019, at the morning service, Gemma Doheny and Val Eggleton were enrolled by Revd Amanda, supported by several MU members. It is so good to have new members - have a word with Sheila Stevens to find out more about MU membership.

MU Members from St Nicholas were invited to St Helen's Rainham Branch for their 90th Anniversary afternoon tea on Wednesday 1st August 2018. It was a thoroughly entertaining afternoon and very enjoyable. A few photos are shown below of the Celebration cake being cut.
